Success End of the 1st Asian Cup Wushu Sanda Competition


main.jpgThe 1st Asian Cup Wushu Sanda Competition hosted by Wushu Federation of Asian and organized by the Chinese Wushu Association, Guangdong Wushu Association, Foshan Sports Bureau and Foshan Gaoming District People's Government was held on December 15 and 16, 2017 in Gaoming Sports Center, Foshan City, Guangdong Province, with approximately 50 participating athletes from 9 different countries and regions, including China, Hong Kong, China, Macao, India, Kyrgyzstan, South Korea, Philippines, Sri Lanka and Vietnam.

The Asian Cup Wushu Sanda competition is currently the highest technical, level and specification Sanda competition in Asia. According to the rules of the Asian Cup Wushu Sanda competition, only the top three athletes participated in the Sanda Competition of the 9th Asian Wushu Championships held in 2016 (including the tied for third place) are be eligible to participate in the Asian Cup. In the absence of injuries, vacancies will be appointed by the Technical Committee of the Wushu Association of Asia.

In addition to strengthen the exchanges between Asian countries and regions, raising the standard of Sanda athletics and enhancing the influence of Sanda on other countries, the purpose of the organization of Asian Cup Wushu Sanda Competition is also to celebrate the 30th anniversary of establishment of the Wushu Federation of Asia.
