2018 Asian Games Wushu Competition – Day 3


On the morning of August 21 (Indonesia time), the Men’s Taijiquan event will be proceed, and to decide the gold medal winners for Men’s Daoshu + Gunshu all-round, Women’s Jianshu + Qiangshu all-round and Men’s Nanquan + Nandao.

First, the Men’s Taijiquan event, it was contested by 16 athletes from 15 countries. Chen Zhouli (China) currently stands in the first place score at 9.75, closely follow by Hui Tak Yan Samuei (Hong Kong, China), Sun Chiahung (Chinese Taipei), Araya Tomohiro (Japan) and Yu Wonhee (Korea) with 9.70 points.

In the Men's Gunshu event, Wu Zhaohua (China) continued to achieve a high score of 9.76, giving another gold medal to China with a total score of 19.52. Silver medal winner Cho Seungjae (Korea) scored 9.73 with final score of 19.45. And bronze medal winner, Hulaefi Achmad (Indonesia) scored 9.71 points with final score of 19.41.

In the Women's Qianshu all-around event, Guo Mengjiao (China) won gold medal with final score of 19.49, Kiani Zahra (Iran) won the silver medal with 19.41 points, and Duong Thuy (Vietnam) won the bronze medal with 19.40 points.

In the Men's Nangun event, Huang Junhua (Macau, China) scored 9.73 points with the final score of 19.43 points. Silver and bronze medals were respectively won by Pham Quoc Khanh (Vietnam) and Lee Yongmun (Korea).

In the evening, Sanda events quarter-finals will be continued, winners will be entered to the semi-finals.
