“SJM 10th Asian Wushu Championships 2024” Blessing Ceremony


(Macau, 7 September 2024) The “SJM 10th Asian Wushu Championships 2024,” organised by the Wushu Federation of Asia (“WFA”); undertaken by the Wushu General Association of Macau (“WGAM”); co-organised and title-sponsored by SJM Resorts, S.A. (“SJM”); co-organised by the Sports Bureau of the Macao SAR Government; and supported by the Education and Youth Development Bureau of the Macao SAR Government (“DSEDJ”) and the Macao Government Tourism Office (“MGTO”), will be held at the Tap Seac Multisports Pavilion in Macao from 12 to 15 September. The championships will see approximately 400 top athletes from 24 teams of different countries and regions, including Australia; Brunei; China; Hong Kong, China; India; Iran; Iraq; Jordan; Japan; Kazakhstan; Kyrgyzstan; South Korea; Saudi Arabia; Malaysia; Myanmar; Nepal; the Philippines; Singapore; Sri Lanka; Turkmenistan; Chinese Taipei; Uzbekistan; Vietnam and Macau, China, vying for 41 Asian championship titles, while showcasing their athlete prowess.

 

A blessing ceremony was conduct by the Organizing Committee this morning, which was presided by Mr. Chan Weng Kit, President of the WFA; Mr. Joseph Liu, Senior Vice President of Marketing of SJM, and Mr. Leong Chong Leng, Executive Director of the SJM 10th Asian Wushu Championships 2024 Organising Committee, praying for a successful event and excellent results for the participating athletes.

 

The “SJM 10th Asian Wushu Championships 2024” is open to the public free of charge. The event is divided into Wushu Taolu and Wushu Sanda competitions. Two sessions of the Wushu Taolu competitions will be held per day, starting at 9:00 am and 2:00 pm, respectively; one session of the Wushu Sanda competitions will be held daily, concurrently with the Wushu Taolu competitions. The public is welcome to join the Championships and cheer for the athletes.
