2015 Asian Junior Wushu training course

2015 Asian Junior Wushu training course organized by the Wushu Federation of Asia and hosted by the Macao General Wushu Association was held in Macao from July 6th for four days. There are total of forty-four coaches and athletes participate in the training course including members from Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan, Malaysia, Korea, Vietnam and Iran. Chen Guorong, Vice-President of the Chinese Wushu Association and Chairman of the WFA Technical Committee, Chan Weng Kit, Secretary-General of WFA and Director of Macao General Wushu Association, and Leong Chung Ling, Vice-Director of Macao General Wushu Association and Head Organizer of the training course presided over the commencement ceremony and group photo with the participants.

Chen Guorong states that over 40 coaches and athletes participated, including six representatives from Macao General Wushu Association, and he wishes that throughout the training, it would help carry forward the spirit of Wushu, to enhance the morality and technique of young athletes, and long-term development to promote the level of Wushu in Asia. He also noted that the 8th Asian Junior Wushu Championships will be held during early August in Inner Mongolia, where the group will be presented the third set of international Taolu, with high expectations, Macao team to redouble their efforts towards the success.

Chan Weng Kit notes in his speech that WFA and Macao General Wushu Association have always been committed to promote Wushu Sports. We have specially invited National coaches from Chinese Wushu Association Gao Chulan, Dean of Fujian Jimei University, Lin Bin, Director of the Wushu Management Center of Fujian Province, He Qiang, coach of Guangdong Wushu team, and Tian Yong, coach of Guangzhou Vocational College of Sports. Training course covers Changquan, Nanquan, Taijiquan, Daoshu, jinshu, gunshu, qiangshu, taiji qian, nandao, and nangun. Wishing that throughout training, we can enhance the level of technique of Wushu athletes, minimise the strength gap between players, and to enhance communication between athletes and coaches.
