3 Days to Go! The 12th Asian Junior Wushu Championships Set to Kick Off in Style


The 12th Asian Junior Wushu Championships 

will officially commence on July 25 

at the Pegasus Watertown Culture and Sports Indoor Stadium in Jiangyin, China.

The 12th Asian Junior Wushu Championships are hosted by the Wushu Federation of Asia, organized by the Wushu Administrative Center of the General Administration of Sport of China, the Chinese Wushu Association, the Jiangsu Provincial Sports Bureau, and the People’s Government of Wuxi. Co-organizers include the Wushu Administrative Center of Jiangsu Provincial Sports Bureau, the Jiangsu Wushu Association, the Wuxi Municipal Sports Bureau, and the People’s Government of Jiangyin. The event is executed by the Jiangyin Municipal Administration of Culture, Sports, Radio, Television and Tourism, the People’s Government of Xinqiao Town, Pegasus Culture and Sports Development Co., Ltd., and Shengshi Sports Events Co., Ltd.

As the highest-level junior wushu competition in Asia, the Asian Junior Wushu Championships are held biennially. This year’s event will take place at Pegasus Watertown Culture and Sports Indoor Stadium in Jiangyin, Wuxi, China, which has hosted multiple high-level competitions since its inauguration in March 2024, making it a new landmark for culture and sports. It made its international debut in April with the "2024 International Wushu Invitational Tournament", followed by the "2024 National Wushu Taolu Championships & 10th Asian Wushu Championships Qualifiers" and the "IWUF 10th Wushu Sanda World Cup 2025", among other top-tier national and international wushu events. Equipped with a fully digitalized venue system and a professional event service framework, the arena has successfully established itself as a global platform for wushu cultural exchange.

This year’s Championships have attracted 467 young athletes from 24 countries and regions, who will compete from July 26 to 29 in an exciting display of skill and spirit, showcasing the modern appeal of traditional wushu. As a flagship event certified by the Wushu Federation of Asia, the Championships are more than just a competition of skills—they serve as a vital platform for cultural exchange across Asia and deepening regional sports cooperation.

The official emblem of the 12th Asian Junior Wushu Championships has now been released. The logo blends culture and wushu artistry, featuring dynamic brush-like strokes inspired by wushu techniques, symbolizing both power and grace. It incorporates traditional hues of red and gold, accented by ink-wash brushstrokes and silk textures, echoing the Asian cultural heritage. The design fuses athletic energy with classical aesthetics, forming a visual bridge between Asia’s young wushu athletes and global audiences.
